Sharing is caring

I am a lucky mum. From breakfast till the last story at night, we are making it up as we go along, starting the day with a vague plan. As a day with children goes, a pee in the pants in the freezer ailse, you choose to laugh or cry, but realizing you have spent most of your day 'playing' is fun for me.
There were a few months there, as Pip's attitude and tenaciousness grew larger than life, the day was filled with battles. Not with me mind you, but with her sister. Recently, I have had the pleasure of seeing the two of them share everything, use the language of negotiation, fairness, acknowledgment and I can't help but think the following; We chose early on to care for our children at home until school, sometimes through no other option, but one bonus is the concentrated time spent together with nothing to interupt us learning about each other and hopefully, for the two sisters, about a life shared.
