Just had to post this photo. We went to Brisbane for the cricket (Hubby sat through the boiling sun for 2 days, Eva and i went shopping..) After a hard day the 2 of them curled up in bed. i predict that this daughter of mine will witness alot of major sporting events thoughout her life, with such a sports lover as hubby.

chubby
just a quick post to update photos, as she seems to be growing at a rate of knots... she is at the 5kg mark already. and moved out of the newborn nappies. i am so proud. my little girl is growing up! i think only new mothers see these things as significant milestones.
also a photo with granda who loves to watch the cricket with her! ps: are those ears similar?

new outfit2

What do you think? Everything for girls is so pink and so frilly. Not sure if I will keep this one, not used to seeing her in all that frill. Needed some retail therapy this afternoon, but only crappy shops in my area. solution? retail therapy via the little one. A new yet satisfying concept!
Tried to show her mullet with her glamorous side pose.. I think it is showing more auburn, red colours. If this is the case, she will def clash with the pink!
26 days young

Just after 3 weeks and she is starting to explore. The magic begins as she starts to do alot more than just sleeping and eating. I never considered the extent to which you could hang out with another person, but here we are, never apart. I watch her sleep (would be nice if she did the same for me..) she fills my thoughts, and i get very excited and very nervous about the coming months and years....
Watching March of the Penguins, cute cute doco. Incredible scenery.

2 weeks

Ok, still working out the technology. But double your money! Here is my little chicken, looking very suspiciously at the camera. What do you bitches think of the blankie? Eva loves it. (this was knitted by group of talented women during 05/06 snow season, stich n' bitch, Innsbruck)
My sister gave her the snazzy t-shirt. its about the only thing that fits at the moment, she just looks plain uncomfortable in big flowery dresses. Have a nice photo of her smiling, but have since found out from the ever-wise great grandmother that it just means she has gas... so will wait for the real thing. thanks granny.
Has been crappy weather since she was born, so any outing is a little more chaotic, dodging hail and rain, trying not to do a brittany on the front steps... Hopefully when summer kicks in we will get plenty of time on the beach, and out of the house as day time telly is driving me nutty.

new beginnings!
Well, she has arrived. Eva Wendy. Its good to be home, but our time in hospital seems like such a long time ago. Biggest changes have been thinking you can estimate the time of day it is, add about 3 hours and that will be the actual time.. the days are full and busy, but where does the time go? Writing up a feeding diary for the mid-wife gives me a little insight... 10 day growth spurt maybe.
I hope this blog is a way to make up for my slackness in keeping up-to-date with friends. also a framework where i can talk baby, baby, baby and people can take it or leave it. Also somewhere to share the numerous photos that are taken at any opportunity. Enjoy!
